Are you looking for night work that's more meaningful than most?If so, this could be the perfect night shift for you.Location: North Chailey, East Sussex, BN84EFSalary: £25,453 - £27,388 per annum + night enhancementsHours: 33 hours per week (full-time)Night rate enhancements currently include:Friday: +25% (£16.54-£17.80/hour)Saturday: +50% (£19.84-£21.35/hour)Sunday: +25% (£16.54-£17.80/hour)Plus double time on bank holidaysAt Chailey Heritage Foundation, the children and young adults we support have complex disabilities - but that never defines them. Our colleagues play a vital role in helping them live rich, supported lives and that includes overnight.As a Night Support Worker, you'll be part of a warm, skilled team making sure each child and young adult gets the comfort, rest and reassurance they need. You'll build trusting relationships, follow care plans with confidence, and help every young person feel safe, seen, and valued, even while the world sleeps.What you'll be doing:Supporting children and young adults during overnight routines - settling, repositioning, hygiene, and early morning transitionsDelivering safe, person-centred care with dignity and respectUsing specialist equipment like hoists, beds and mobility aids (full training provided)Helping with medication, feeding (including gastrostomy), and personal careMonitoring wellbeing throughout the night and recording notesBeing a reliable, compassionate part of a committed teamShift patterns & enhancementsWe offer flexibility where we can, with a core 33-hour week made up of a mix of:Full Night: 8:30pm - 7:30amTwilight: 8:30pm - 2:00amSunrise: 2:00am - 7:30amWhat you'll bring:A caring, compassionate approach with the ability to stay calm and focused overnightRespect for individuality and a positive approach to disability and diversityConfidence in working with children and young adults - or a willingness to learnGCSE-level English and Maths (or equivalent)Willingness to undertake training, including Health & Social Care Level 3Availability to work a rota including weekends and public holidaysBonus if you also have:Experience supporting people with disabilities or complex health needsA full UK driving licence and willingness to drive Foundation vehiclesWhy join us?At Chailey Heritage Foundation, you'll do meaningful work, supported by a close-knit team who value trust, teamwork and compassion.
