This Design Manager position is with a leading Tier one main contractor on a major façade/cladding project in the West End of London.You will as Design Manager have specific and even specialised experience of facades and cladding aspects of major construction projects in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a cutting-edge design of a major construction project in London.As Design Manager you may have worked for a specialist subcontractor for a period or within a division of a main contractor specialising in re-cladding and facades aspects of projects.Key Responsibilities for this Design Manager role

Lead the façade design process from concept to completion, ensuring design intent is maintained throughout.
Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to deliver efficient, innovative, and compliant façade solutions.
Oversee external design consultants and subcontractors, managing deliverables, schedules, and technical compliance.
Attend site and client meetings, providing technical advice and resolving design issues.

Ensure all designs adhere to relevant building codes, safety standards, and sustainability objectives.

Requirements

A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in façade design and management within the UK construction industry.
Strong knowledge of curtain walling, cladding systems, and building envelopes.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
