The Role We are looking for a Health Care Assistant who can support and engage with service users, ensuring they have access to the right interventions at the right time, tailored to their individual needs. Location: Swindon Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week Contract: Temp contract (Monday-Friday Hours) Pay Rates: Umbrella: £18.00 per hour PAYE Inclusive: £16.07 per hour PAYE Exclusive: £14.40 per hour Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive BBV (Blood-Borne Virus) screening and vaccinations Coordinate and support the Hepatitis C treatment clinic Lead on the development and delivery of the Needle Exchange programme Promote harm reduction strategies to minimise drug-related risks to individuals and the wider community Support service users towards improved health and wellbeing, including both abstinence-based and medically assisted recovery pathways Develop clinical skills to deliver safe and effective interventions Build strong partnerships with health services, GPs, hepatitis clinics, and other agencies to achieve the best outcomes for service users About You Strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues, with experience working in a related field Skilled in delivering harm reduction advice and interventions (including Needle Exchange) Current certificated Injection Technique and Immunisation Training (or willingness to undertake training) Excellent knowledge of physical health interventions and best practice Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and across agencies Committed to information governance and safeguarding practices Motivated to learn, develop professionally, and support the development of others How to Apply If you're ready to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
