About the RoleTo be part of the Plant Shop team, offering a high quality of customer care by serving and advising customers in the shop and at events.Principle duties * To provide a front-line service by serving and advising customers in the shop.
  • To maintain a constantly well-presented facility by ensuring the retail areas are clean and tidy.
  • To operate a till, handle cash and take credit card payments in accordance with Nottingham City Council's financial regulations.
  • To assist with basic administration tasks and completing daily records.
  • To provide general information and convey a lively interest and knowledge of horticultural techniques and plants.
  • To provide assistance and adhere to all health and safety, hygiene and security policies.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Knowledge of horticultural techniques and plants
  • Experience of using tills and handling cash and card payments
  • Willingness to work weekends
  • Van driving experience is useful but not essential
