
Behaviour Support Assistant

- Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural and emotional support to specific pupils across EYFS and KS1
- Help implement and adapt behaviour intervention plans, following school policies and guidance from external agencies
- Support emotional regulation and promote positive social interactions e.g. learning breaks and social stories
- Work closely with teachers and SEND staff
- Create a safe, consistent and structured environment where children can flourish
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- A person committed to the role and students you are supporting to allow consistency
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with students and school staff
- Experience working within SEND or pastoral support (preferred but not essential)
- Team teach or equivalent trained (preferred but not essential)
- Experience using positive behaviour management strategies
