- Technical Authority: Act as the technical authority for modern workplace solutions, leveraging solutions such as M365, Azure AVD, Power Platform, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Colleague Experience: Responsible for ensuring an excellent colleague IT experience, supporting them in their day-to-day work.
- Team Management: Oversee the modern workplace and applications team, and IT training and adoption leaders.
- Standardisation: Define and deliver a standardised, persona driven, end-user hardware and software environment
- Device Management: Ensure robust device provisioning with a drive towards a zero-touch deployment process followed by full device lifecycle management.
- Software Management: Own the software packaging, patching and distribution processes. Ensure all 3rd party applications are fully supported, either in-house or through 3rd parties.
- IT Adoption & Training: Develop frameworks leveraging our IT training team to boost user adoption of M365, collaboration, and end user hardware and software.
- Transition: Work closely with our Service Desk teams to ensure technical readiness, documentation, and training is provided.
- Governance: Ensure high performance, reliability, and security across all EUC platforms
- End User software Control: Monitor (through an approved application list) and evaluate the effectiveness of end user software, making recommendations (including consolidation) for improvements and cost savings as identified.
- Product Ownership Development: Champion the adoption and maturity of a product ownership culture, providing direction, training, and support to product owners and stakeholders.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure rigorous standards of testing and QA, delivering reliable and high-quality device and software releases.
- Strategic Leadership: Own, develop and execute a strategy and roadmap for your area of responsibility.
- Team Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor teams. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, foster professional growth, and create a collaborative and empowered working environment.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present regular reports on service performance, trends, risks, and achievements to senior leadership and stakeholders. Use data to inform decision-making and strategic direction.
- Process Management: Develop and maintain clear documentation, knowledge base, structured processes, and transparent metrics to underpin operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Project Management Framework: Ensure IT projects and programs run to time, budget, scope and deliver the expected benefits whilst also being able to move at speed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with legal professionals, IT peers, finance & HR teams, and external vendors to deliver projects and services meeting business and compliance requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion the organisation's drive for operational excellence. Employ quality management methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL) to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance service value.
- Collaborative working: Collaborate closely with other IT teams to ensure stability, performance and security of all IT solutions.
- Facilitate Success: Foster collaboration, outcome driven and high performing teams across IT through the celebrating successes and rapid intervention when needed.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes meet relevant legal, regulatory, and data security standards.
- Knowledge of best practice in modern workplace solutions, including Microsoft products.
