Start Date: September 2025ABOUT THE ROLE
Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate and experienced QTS-qualified tutor to support students in Bromley through tailored 1:1 tuition. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher looking for a more flexible and personalised teaching environment outside the traditional classroom.You’ll be working with children and young people who are currently not in mainstream education – helping to re-engage them through bespoke lessons in English, Maths, and Science, delivered either during the school day or afterschool, depending on your availability.These pupils may have gaps in their education and low confidence, so you’ll need to bring patience, creativity, and consistency to help them make progress.ROLE DETAILS
- Location: Bromley (home, school, or community-based settings)
- Subjects: English, Maths, and Science
- Start Date: September 2025
- Schedule: Flexible – during school hours or afterschool
- Duration: Ongoing, depending on individual student needs
- Rate of Pay: From £25 per hour
- Hours: Sessions are typically 1 to 3 hours in length
- Contract Type: Temporary, part-time or full-time depending on tutor availability
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or PGCE
- At least 6 months of recent teaching or tutoring experience in the UK
- Ability to deliver tailored, engaging lessons across core subjects
- Confidence working independently and managing your own schedule
- A commitment to helping pupils build confidence and catch up on missed learning
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
- Two recent child-related references
