What you will be doing...Avionics Technical Service Engineer, based at Leeds Bradford Airport or Manchester Airport.After a period of inhouse on the job training, the successful candidate will be working a 4 On 4 Off day shift pattern in a hybrid format (Office based Tuesdays and Wednesdays).Reporting to the Avionics Technical Services Manager, the Avionics Technical Services Engineer will Take Responsibility for managing the implementation of all required avionics equipment enhancements and airworthiness requirements of the Jet2.com fleet.What will you do in the role?
As an Avionics Technical Services Engineer - Operational, you will have two roles:
Primary Role:
  • Monitor Repeat Defects.
  • Reliability of Avionics Systems and Operational Support.
  • Work Pack Reviews.
  • Flight Safety Liaison.
  • EGPWS/TAWS Updates.
  • PRAMS Updates.
Secondary Role:
  • Sourcing and Reviewing Modifications.
  • Entry Into Service support.
  • AOC.
  • ACMS.
  • Digitization.
  • Software Management of PDL's.
Further to the above you will ensure continued airworthiness and technical performance through evaluation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Engineering Modification Requests and Proposals, ELA's, FDR and CVR/Datalink validations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all actions are carried out to an approved standard following Company Procedures.What are the key skills / experience you'll already have?
Our Avionics Technical Services Engineer will hold an EASA Part 66 B2 License or equivalent Aircraft Engineering degree. You will also:
  • Ideally have experience of EASA Part M or CAA Part CAMO and Jet2.com aircraft types.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and work methodically under pressure to regular deadlines.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Can work co-operatively and flexibly, whilst maintaining strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Having a good understanding of AMOS is preferred.
