If you love design, have an eye for trends, and enjoy working in a creative, collaborative environment, this is the perfect role for you.We’re looking for an Assistant Garment Designer to support the Senior Designer on our Baby Boys’ fashion ranges. You’ll help bring ideas to life, contribute to collections, and work across all stages of product development.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop concepts, sketches, and CADs in collaboration with the Senior DesignerCreate and update tech packs with construction details, materials, and specificationsResearch trends and analyse the market to keep designs relevant and competitiveSupport fabric, trim, and colour selection for seasonal collectionsWork with cross-functional teams—including merchandising and buying—to ensure a cohesive rangeAttend supplier and departmental meetings, supporting the Senior Designer with presentation and mood boardsContribute ideas in brainstorming and seasonal design meetingsDeliver work to deadlines, aligned with project timelines and the critical pathStay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity"Let's find out about you”Degree in Fashion Design or related field1–2 years’ experience in a design role, ideally in children’s fashionStrong Adobe Illustrator and CAD skillsGood knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and trimsExcellent communication and presentation skillsHighly organised with strong time management skillsAble to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentPassion for children’s fashion and a strong eye for detailThis is an exciting opportunity to join a creative, trend-focused team at George and gain hands-on experience in children’s fashion design.
