- Provide and maintain the highest standard of nursing care for patients and their families.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring accurate documentation and patient-centered handovers.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes and proposing necessary adjustments to the care plan.
- Direct and participate in the maneuvering and positioning of patients.
- Ensure effective communication among healthcare professionals, promoting harmonious working relationships and safe practices.
- Administer oral drugs and undergo relevant drug administration training.
- Contribute to the safe custody, storage, and control of all drugs at ward level.
- Develop progressing knowledge of common conditions, their management, and treatment.
- Assist with the safe care and custody of patients' property and valuables.
- Implement nursing procedures in accordance with Clinical Governance policies.
- Collect statistical information, participate in audits, and attend educational audit processes.
- Act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and contribute to investigating complaints/untoward incidents.
- NMC professional registration.
- Registered Nurse (Level 1).
- Awareness of research and evidence-based practice in the clinical setting.
- Essential airway management skills.
- Clear understanding of pain and pain control.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Intravenous Therapy Skills.
- Interest & academic ability to undertake further training within a particular specialty.
- IT skills and experience in the use of computers.
