Duty IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advocate)Location: West LondonHours: 4 days per week - 10am - 6pm (28 hours)Work Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days in office, 2 days work from homePay: £14-20 per hourPlease note: This post is open to female applicants only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Duty IDVA to join a fast-paced crisis intervention and advocacy service in West London.You will:
  • Provide high-quality risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention for women experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Hold a reduced caseload, ensuring tailored advocacy and support for survivors with complex and multiple needs.
  • Advise on criminal justice and civil remedies, and accompany clients to court when required.
  • Work closely with partner agencies, attend MARAC, and coordinate multi-agency safeguarding support.
  • Keep accurate case records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes.
About YouYou will be a skilled and compassionate advocate with:
  • Proven experience working directly with survivors of domestic abuse, including those with complex/multiple needs.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, the criminal justice system, and civil remedies.
  • Excellent risk assessment and crisis management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with multiple agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
