- Technical Product Support:
- Analyse customer requirements and specifications to recommend appropriate pump products and associated equipment
- Perform detailed sizing and selection of pump systems using specialised software and engineering principles
- Provide technical guidance and support to both internal and external stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and product developments
- Customer and Supplier Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and technical questions
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product availability and resolve any issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations when required
- Quotation Generation and Follow-up:
- Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for pump systems and associated equipment
- Ensure all quotations are competitive and align with company pricing strategies
- Follow up on quotations in a timely manner to maximise conversion rates
- Negotiate terms and conditions with customers when necessary
- Sales Support and Order Processing:
- Assist the external sales team with technical information and product recommendations
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends
- Analyse sales data and prepare regular reports on performance and market insights
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and product improvements
- Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement within the sales and technical support functions
- Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to expand product knowledge and skills
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the pump or motor industry
- Strong technical knowledge of pump systems, fluid dynamics, motors.
- Great communication skills
