The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our sales efforts, providing technical expertise, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Product Support:
  • Analyse customer requirements and specifications to recommend appropriate pump products and associated equipment
  • Perform detailed sizing and selection of pump systems using specialised software and engineering principles
  • Provide technical guidance and support to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and product developments
  • Customer and Supplier Liaison:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and technical questions
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product availability and resolve any issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations when required
  • Quotation Generation and Follow-up:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for pump systems and associated equipment
  • Ensure all quotations are competitive and align with company pricing strategies
  • Follow up on quotations in a timely manner to maximise conversion rates
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers when necessary
  • Sales Support and Order Processing:
  • Assist the external sales team with technical information and product recommendations
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Market Analysis and Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends
  • Analyse sales data and prepare regular reports on performance and market insights
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and product improvements
  • Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the sales and technical support functions
  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to expand product knowledge and skills
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the pump or motor industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of pump systems, fluid dynamics, motors.
  • Great communication skills
