  • Ensure that Trafford Council fulfills its statutory responsibilities under the DoLS to the highest standard, adhering to legal frameworks.
  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the Council’s DoLS Team, ensuring it stays responsive, compliant, high performing, and person-centred.
  • Provide managerial oversight and leadership to ensure the DoLS Team works collaboratively towards best practice.
  • Strategically manage resources while identifying new ways of working in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Oversee, quality assure, and approve all DoLS authorisations.
Who we’re looking for:
We are searching for a dynamic and energetic leader experienced in social work practice. You must have a Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration, or equivalent, as well as relevant professional and Best Interests Assessor qualifications. You will need excellent organisational skills, the ability to motivate and manage a team, and a knack for building strong relationships with various professionals and partners.
