- Act as a key point of contact for all overnight health, safety, and security matters
- Conduct regular security and fire safety checks, ensuring compliance with hotel procedures
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, following escalation protocols where required
- Ensure access to all areas is controlled and secure, safeguarding guests, colleagues, and assets
- Be a visible and approachable point of contact for guests during the night
- Handle any guest queries, complaints, or requests professionally and efficiently
- Ensure all public areas remain presentable and safe, enhancing the overall guest experience
- Coordinate with departments to prepare meeting rooms and facilities for the following day
- Oversee the night cleaning team to ensure public areas and meeting spaces are cleaned and reset to brand standards
- Carry out regular inspections to ensure all areas of the hotel are well-maintained and guest-ready
- Report any maintenance issues or health and safety hazards promptly to the relevant teams
- Support the Night Manager in supervising, motivating, and developing the night team
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and maintaining IHG brand standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment
- Ensure all team members are fully briefed and aligned on priorities for the shift
- Previous experience in hotel front office or supervisory/night management preferred
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and building security procedures
- Knowledge of Opera PMS system preferred.
- Excellent guest service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, even under pressure
- Confident decision-maker with strong organisational skills
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
