A world leader in the medical devices industry are seeking a proactive maintenance engineer professional to minimise downtime, conduct planned maintenance and continuous improvement tasks across site.The successful candidate will be a hands on, Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical bias and have a desire to improve machinery availability, life cycle costs and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned and reactive repairs to a variety equipment and control systems
- Act as the engineering representative on the night shift.
- Carry out planned Maintenance activities.
- Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
- Supervision of outside contractors/service engineers and tradesmen as required
- Management of small projects such as equipment installation or staff training
- To develop and implement process improvementsRequirements:
- Completed a recognised city & guilds, NVQ or equivalent electrical engineering apprenticeship
- Proven experience post apprenticeship in an electrical multiskilled maintenance role
- Electrical/ mechanical skills bias with proven competence in both disciplines.
- Ability to identify and correct faults within electrical, pneumatic, water and mechanical systems
