There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to be a Professional and Practice Development Nurse within Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is a permanent, part time position of 22.5 hours.We are looking for a motivated Registered Nurse to join the 3 other Professional and Practice Development Nurses across our 4 acute hospital sites, under the Nursing Professional Standards Team.This Professional and Practice Development Nurse working patterns will be flexible, which can be discussed at interview.There will be an opportunity to negotiate retaining clinical hours within a relevant clinical setting if required.Interviews to be held on 18/9/25Main duties of the jobAs a member of the wider Nursing Professional Standards Team, you will be working closely with Corporate Nursing Team. You are required to contribute towards the development of nursing practice that meets the needs of patients, their families and the organisation.Previous experience as a mentor or involvement with developing and delivering training and support is essential.Applicants will need to demonstrate effective facilitation skills that have achieved proven patient care improvements, and contributed towards the on-going professional and practice development of others.The post holder will need to communicate and work effectively with all grades and disciplines of staff.   • Bachelors degree in appropriate/health-related subject
  • Postgraduate diploma in appropriate subject or equivalent level of experience

  • Knowledge of quality Improvement methodologies and application to practice
  • Extensive knowledge and experience / understanding of collaborative practice
  • Understanding/experience of mentorship / clinical supervision / reflective practice / Coaching
  • Knowledge of the research process
  • Bronze IQT (Improving Quality Together)

  • PGCE (or equivalent experience to postgraduate diploma level)
