This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, foster creativity, and help pupils develop their artistic skills while contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.Responsibilities as an Art Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Inspire pupils to explore creativity, develop technical skills, and express themselves through art.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and pupil behaviour.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance the learning experience.
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of art techniques, media, and the national curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
