- Perform planned and reactive maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
- Troubleshoot relay control circuits, AC/DC motors, and various types of drives.
- Conduct basic PLC fault finding on systems like Siemens S7 300, 1200, and 1500.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and work with computerized maintenance management systems (MMS).
- Contribute to plant reliability and efficiency through improvement projects.
- Adhere to strict Health and Safety protocols and SSOW.
- Support improvement initiatives within the department.
- Experience: A time-served electrician with at least 2 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment and in a maintenance capacity.
- Qualifications: A qualified Electrician who has completed a time-served apprenticeship.
- Skills: Experience with low voltage systems, drives, and PLCs. Ability to fault find and conduct root cause failure analysis.
- Flexibility: Must be fully flexible and able to adhere to a rotating shift pattern (days, lates, and nights, Monday-Friday).
- Other: A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the shifts.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP or an equivalent system. Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation. Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Desired: 18th Edition.
- Salary: £36,779 - £37,586 (£31,982 basic plus 15% shift allowance, rising to £32,684 plus 15% shift allowance after probation).
