They're seeking an enthusiastic nursery assistant with prior experience and a strong desire to develop their skills. Responsibilities after induction will involve:
  • Planning age-appropriate activities to support the specific development of key children
  • Establishing strong relationships with parents and carers while taking on key children responsibilities
  • Conducting observations during EYFS curriculum-based activities to track progression and achievements
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progression over time through frequent observations
  • Assisting with children's hygiene routines and meal times
  • Contributing to a safe and enjoyable environment, prioritising health and safety at all times
  • Safeguarding children and reporting welfare concerns to management
  • Keeping records of daily diary sheets for children and conducting end-of-day handover procedures with parents
  • Supporting the training and development of other staff members in the room
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one through Randstad
  • Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Dedication to children's development with an energetic, can-do attitude
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
