Job Description:Purpose of Role:This key role provides engineering maintenance and support for our Flight Simulators and associated training devices to ensure availability for Aircrew training.Areas of Responsibilities will include:
  • Maintenance and repair of Simulator systems as required by the Company and OEMs in accordance with relevant regulations & appropriate equipment manuals;
  • Control of the systems required to run the simulators;
  • Compliance with the appropriate maintenance and procedure Manuals;
  • Implement updates of simulator data to Ground Station Data, Host loads and Visual Databases;
  • Read and understand the unserviceabilities, unserviceability recording & reporting process;
  • Running of Qualification Test Guides (QTGs);
  • Update of the simulator maintenance and procedures manuals as appropriate;
  • Reporting of unserviceability’s and faults;
  • Plan the repair of reported faults as applicable;
  • To assume appropriate responsibilities when requested during supervisor’s absence;
  • Communication with clients, contractors, aviation authorities & OEM representatives;
  • Comply with the quality standards required by Bristow Helicopters Ltd;
  • Comply with Design Procedures as set out in Company Handbooks and agreements with Third Parties.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Candidates must be computer literate with advanced window application knowledge;
  • Hold basic knowledge of electrical / electronic / avionic systems;
  • Have knowledge of database programming and input techniques;
  • Proven understanding of fault-finding principles and corrective measures techniques;
  • Knowledge of schematic drawings would be advantageous;
  • Operational experience is desirable.
Qualifications
  • An HND / BTEC 3 in Avionics & Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.
