- Support the DPO in ensuring that Immediate maintains best practice in data privacy matters
- Advise the business on matters relating to data risk, privacy and protection, including matters concerning GDPR and PECR and the compliance with such legislation across the business
- Maintain and develop our systems, including but not limited to ensuring that the ROPA is kept up to date and that impact assessments are prepared as needed
- Work with the business to solve data issues raised by expansion into new jurisdictions
- Provide in-house training to commercial teams on regulatory and compliance data issues
- Support and advise on data privacy matters concerning Immediate’s consumers
- Liaise with our parent company’s data privacy specialists based in Germany
- Work with the business and your colleagues in the Legal team on the drafting and negotiation of agreements where they relate to aspects of data privacy
- Contribute to the development of best practice around data privacy within the team and to develop clear and practical processes and controls for the business

- Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements and partnerships across the Immediate brands
- The role would suit a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years’ PQE in a commercial law firm or fast-paced in-house environment
- A high-quality training contract or equivalent experience and have a track record of academic success. Alternative qualifications and experience will be considered
- A thorough understanding of data protection law (in particular GDPR and ePrivacy regulations) and an enthusiasm for its integration with our commercial activities
- A solid understanding of contract law is essential. Some experience of intellectual property laws is desirable
- Strong drafting skills, negotiation, communication and relationship skills
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- High quality performance, particularly under pressure
- Effective time-management and prioritisation skills, particularly given the part-time nature of this role
