(Obesity/Weight Management/GLP-1 Focus)GlasgowSalary - £19,200 per yearAbout the roleWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Independent Prescriber to join our growing multidisciplinary team, which includes nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and GPs. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care via digital platforms and have a strong interest in weight management, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.We currently have six permanent vacancies available as part of our expanding clinical team.This is a full-time position (16 hours per week), working Saturday & Sunday, with shifts scheduled between 08:00 and 17:00.This role is remote.What you'll be doingAs an Independent Prescriber, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective, and accessible digital healthcare. You'll primarily focus on assessing online consultations, managing patient health needs, and prescribing medications, with a strong focus on weight management and GLP-1 medications.Key Responsibilities
- Patient Consultations : Carry out comprehensive online assessments, evaluating patients' medical histories and overall health to determine suitability for treatment.
- Safe and Effective Prescribing: Prescribe medications in strict adherence to clinical guidelines, company protocols, and the highest standards of patient safety and care.
- Integrated Patient Care: Collaborate effectively with our Patient Care, Pharmacy, and Dietitian teams to deliver a seamless and supportive experience.
- Clinical Governance: Participate in regular clinical meetings, contributing to the ongoing development of clinical protocols, quality standards, and best practices & many more.
- Experience: Previous experience in online prescribing is highly desirable. Experience managing patients on GLP-1 medications and working within weight management services is also preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
- Digital Confidence: Comfortable using digital health platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Proactive and Solution-Focused: Demonstrates a proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.
