Care AssistantDo you have a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of older residents?The HomeDunlarg care home is situated in the peaceful countryside in the village of Keady, County Armagh. The home has easy access to local shops and public transport. Dunlarg is made up of two units and in total cares for 58 residents. Dunlarg provides different categories of care from General Nursing to General Residential Care. Within the categories it can extend to Learning Disability, Mental Health, and Physical Disability under 65. All new residents are met with a warm welcome and are encouraged to enjoy their home from home experience.The RoleYou will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents.   • A good standard of oral and written English.

  • Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
  • Respectful to not only residents but the values and beliefs of other team members.
Desired Criteria
  • Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
