We're currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work with secondary schools across York and nearby areas. If you've got experience working with teenagers-whether through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or youth work-this could be a great fit.About the Role:As a Cover Supervisor, you'll take charge of the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-set work and helping maintain a productive learning environment. You don't need to be a qualified teacher-just confident, reliable, and ready to lead.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising students during lessons and ensuring they stay on task
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson content
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing general support and answering student questions
- Reporting any issues or concerns to appropriate staff
- Confident communicators with presence and authority in the classroom
- Adaptable, calm, and well-organised
- Passionate about education and working with young people
- Experienced in youth-related roles (school-based or otherwise)
