We are currently recruiting for a site operative for an Environmental Contracting firm.Hours of workMonday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30Salary£25k per annum. We would consider paying more to a successful candidate dependent on experience/qualification.Job DescriptionThe successful applicant will be joining an experienced team of staff whose main area of work is in Environmental Contracting.We undertake a wide variety of work in the following areas:River restorationRiver weed cuttingArboricultural workPond/lake/wetland creation and managementConstruction of bridgesConstruction of fishing platformsConstruction of boardwalksCountryside access worksEnvironmental ConsultancyWe are looking for a person who is:

  • is personable and able to work well in a small team
  • is motivated and independent
  • has an eye for detail
  • a full driving licence is required
  • is looking to improve their skills and develop them through ongoing training
Desirable (not essential)
  • plant operator certificates
  • chainsaw certificates
  • brushcutterexperience
  • ecological and conservation interest
  • understanding of construction
  • first aid training
