Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)?Are you committed in supporting all children achieve their best possible outcomes, whatever their starting point or background?We are looking for passionate and inspiring therapeutic support workers to join our bank of staff to provide support for our great network of SEND schools.We have a network of schools which cater for a wide range of young people with Special Educational Needs and disabilities; including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).No previous experience needed, as long as you share our passion and values that every young person, whatever their starting points or background, get the education they deserve.Opportunities for temp/perm positions.Full time and part time positions available 8.30-3.30 TTOYour Role:- You will work alongside an experienced SEMH teacher in supporting the students to overcome their barriers to learning and help them to make accelerated progress.- You will work with the class teacher to deliver high quality interventions to support the pupils to achieve their targets set out in their EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan).- Support the behaviour management of the classroom, following the schools behaviour management policy.- Follow school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring any safeguarding concerns are reported using the school’s referral procedures.- Work alongside the class teacher in helping to guide the pupils to discover, enjoy and explore the curriculum through a wide variety of learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.The Candidate:- Be confident in supporting children with high SEMH needs.- A commitment to doing the very best for all our children.- Have relevant SEN experience.- Be eligible to work in the UK.What Protocol can offer you:- Competitive rates that express your experience and responsibilities- Continuous CPD development.- £50 refer a friend.- Social events such as bowling and pizza, giving you an opportunity to network with other educational staff.- A team of professional and experienced consultants to guide you.- Around the clock support and assistance from protocol education.
