Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA)Temporary position with potential for permanent positionStarting September | £13.75 per hourWe are seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work within our Special Educational Needs and Social Emotional Mental Health schools, which provides specialist support for children with varied additional needs. The schools that we work with are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment tailored to the individual needs of each pupil, many of whom have complex needs.This full-time, temporary role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced staff to support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development. The position will be to start as soon as possible.About the schools:
These schools are specialist provisions that are focused on delivering high-quality education and support to children who require additional assistance due to SEN, SEMH and other related difficulties. The schools pride themselves on creating safe, structured, and positive learning environments where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.Key responsibilities include:Supporting pupils’ learning and development in line with individual education plans (IEPs)Promoting positive behaviour and fostering respectful, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and familiesAssisting with the delivery of tailored interventions and activities designed to meet pupils’ social and emotional needsContributing to a supportive and inclusive school ethos that values diversity and wellbeingPerson specification:Experience or a strong understanding of working with children with SEN and SEMH needsAbility to develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staffA passionate and empathetic approach to supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and educational progressCommitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team * Awareness of and adhering to safeguarding protocolsThis role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact within a specialist educational setting. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
