You'll be part of an experienced team, developing existing Oil Tool Equipment Designs to meet customer requirement or the needs of the Oilfield Industry. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. Your daily tasks will include:
  • Analyse and develop Product Design to meet customers' or the industry's needs, having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function
  • Discuss the customer's requirements, to identify company products which meet these and give technical advice on the application and proper use of company products
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide the service necessary for the repair group and other departments
  • Assist in identifying and organizing requirements to repair goods. Apply relevant usability procedures and principles.
  • Analyze, design, develop, maintain products and assist in their commercialization.
  • Build prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing. Design and implement tests, document results and develop customer presentations. Provide timely corrective actions on defects.
Requirements:
  • Degree in an Engineering related subject
  • Experience in design Engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • A good knowledge of Wellhead Products and working procedures is advantageous
  • CAD Software such as Solidworks, Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD is desirable
