
Framework / Programme Director

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a high-value HV framework, managing engineering, construction, and design workstreams.
- Take full ownership of framework P&L, ensuring strong commercial performance and compliance with NEC4 Option C contracts.
- Act as the senior point of contact for the client, suppliers, internal teams, and subcontractors, ensuring collaborative and high-quality delivery.
- Manage a dedicated team of project professionals and coordinate supplier activities across multiple work packages.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed budgets, timeframes, and quality standards.
- Drive governance, reporting, and risk management activities across the programme.
- Support future commercial opportunities and work closely with pre-contract and estimating teams on pipeline activity.
- A tenacious, strong leader with demonstrable experience delivering large-scale engineering or construction programmes.
- Hands-on, confident, and able to manage suppliers and subcontractors within complex delivery environments.
- Deep working knowledge of NEC4 Option C contracts – including target cost control, early warnings, and scope management.
- Ideally from a utilities or HV background, although senior candidates from the wider construction sector will also be considered.
- Comfortable working in an office-based environment; permanent office facilities are currently being constructed at Teesworks.
- Degree or HNC in Engineering, Construction, Project or Commercial Management (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
