a diversified, multichannel distribution network.About the roleBecome a part of the transformation of the existing Claims Analytics capability into a leading Claims insights and solutions function. As a member of the Claims Analytics team, your role will span AIG’s global reach while learning all aspects of the United Kingdom region, the breadth of the International Financial Lines, and dive into the world of Network Partners. The role will need to understand business, customer and partner needs and develop insights and analytics in support of those needs while maintaining an approach of global consistency, alignment, and transparency. Analytics will then be converted and used for analytic insights for Actuarial, Underwriting and Product. Looking forward, we will advance into trending, forecasting and analytic modeling.Key Responsibilities include:
  • Bring trend insights to claims leadership and collaborate on the underlying story driving changes to metrics
  • Align dashboards and reports to the needs of those within UK, International Financial Lines and Network Partners Leadership to support key business review processes and projects
  • Regularly monitor and track KPI progress and provide reporting to cross functional departments for business involvement
  • Perform analysis of loss information and identify trends to minimize operational risk as well as contextualize business changes
  • Build state-of-the art analytical capabilities leveraging in-house and vendor technologies
  • Point of contact for business to collaborate, identify and implement business rules and/or processes to maintain data quality
  • Act as a UK, International Financial Lines and Network Partner business contact for the Data Office to address reporting, data and/or mapping questions
  • Perform user acceptance testing for new reports / data sources
  • Manage a team of junior analysts
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with computer science, technology, mathematics, or related field preferred
  • Significant experience in an analytic, reporting, or related role
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL and/or Python
  • Intermediate knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Analytical, decision making and problem-solving abilities
  • Working knowledge of data management and governance processes and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables
  • Identify relevant analytical problems, determining appropriate diagnostic methods, and solving unique and complex issues/problems
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
