This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about supporting the academic and personal growth of children with additional needs.Responsibilities as a SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to KS2 pupils with SEND.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions.
  • Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Help to create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching and SEN staff.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals to support individual needs.
Requirements for SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a school setting, is desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps in employment.
