CLASS 1 DRIVERHours: MONDAY - FRIDAY 14:30 - 23:30People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Coventry, WEST MIDLANDS. Rates of Pay:
  • Basic: £17.50 per hour
  • After 6pm £19.50 per hour
Day to Day Duties:Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
  • Class 1 Trunking & Trailer Swaps between Depos
  • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills:As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to:
  • Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
  • Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
Training:
  • Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
