  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Knowledge of the current UK curriculum and examination boards.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

  • Excellent subject knowledge in Biology.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering high-quality Biology lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Managing a safe and productive classroom environment.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborating with other members of the science department to share best practices.
  • Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher evenings.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
  • Providing pastoral support and guidance to students.
  • Upholding the school's values and policies.
  • Adapting lesson plans to meet the individual needs of all learners.
