- Leading increasingly large or complex audits maintaining good quality, time, and budget standards.
- Contributing to the strategic thinking and direction of the audit team and play an important role in shaping parts of the annual audit plan.
- Coaching and developing others in the wider team.
- A solid quantitative background with good understanding of the key risks and controls throughout all stages and aspects of model lifecycle including quality of the underlying data; models methodology, performance and limitations; model automation and model use.
- Sound and practical understanding of regulatory requirements for IRB, IFRS9, forecasting and stress testing models.
- Prior experience of leading assurance work within Audit / Risk Oversight functions is desirable.
- A critical thinker who can positively influence others to think differently.
- A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and an appetite to learn and develop.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, proven ability to deliver to timelines, experience with managing and delivering multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of delivering potentially challenging messages to senior management; excellent attention to detail.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience of using SAS as well as Agile project management principles would be beneficial.
