Lead on the coordination and delivery of the club's awards scheme, including periodic evaluations in alignment with regional standards.
Actively coach and lead sessions across the identified programmes, maintaining a regular and impactful coaching timetable.
Support the RHC in the evaluation and annual review of programme offerings, class structures, and discipline progression within the club.
Team Management & DevelopmentProvide direct support, mentorship and day-to-day leadership to the club's coaching team, in line with development frameworks set by the RHC.
Conduct regular coaching observations, feedback sessions, and support the creation of personalised development plans.
Oversee the gymnastics induction, training, and integration of new coaches, ensuring all staff adhere to club standards and expectations.
Plan and deliver daily huddles and regular 1:1 check-ins to maintain team communication, motivation, and clarity.
Lead on weekly session cover arrangements, ensuring classes are adequately staffed at all times.
Operational ResponsibilitiesSupport the RHC and RGM in the planning and delivery of in-club competitions, events, and parent engagement activities.
Work with the RGM to manage and approve coach timesheets, leave requests, and maintain effective rota planning.
Take ownership of school holiday timetable planning and staffing allocations, working with the wider regional team to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Safeguarding, Safety & ComplianceEnsure safeguarding standards are upheld at all times, working with the club's Welfare Officer and RGM to implement best practices.
Conduct equipment checks to ensure all apparatus is safe, stable, and adequately matted prior to use.
Act as the First Aid lead on site and ensure first aid protocols are followed and training is up to date.
Parent & Community EngagementBe an active point of contact for parents and guardians, maintaining regular, clear communication both verbally and in writing.
Manage and respond to concerns or issues raised by parents, gymnasts, or staff in relation to the club's recreational programmes, escalating to the RHC or RGM as required.
Culture, Growth & LeadershipLead by example to foster a positive, engaging team culture, consistent with the organisation's values.
Support the organisation's wider mission by contributing to club development projects and taking on additional responsibilities where appropriate.
Promote gymnastics within the local community and support the club's ambition to increase participation and provide an engaging experience.
Skills & QualificationsEssentialMinimum Level 2 British Gymnastics General/Gymnastics for all qualifications or equivalent.
Ideally you will have experience of coaching within a general gymnastics environment, working with pre-school and senior gymnasts, from beginner to intermediate level.
Proven ability to work with, inspire and motivate all levels and ages of gymnast.
Proven ability to work with, inspire and motivate the coaching team.
Ability and flexibility to cover additional sessions when required e.g. holiday programme.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Adhere to and lead on our safeguarding and child protection policies.
