Youth Mental Health Support - KidlingtonAre you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?An exciting opportunity has become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker at a specialist SEMH school in Kidlington. This is a rewarding role within a nurturing and inclusive setting, designed to support children who experience significant challenges with their mental health and emotional regulation.This is a specialist provision that caters specifically to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school offers a therapeutic and structured environment where students are supported both emotionally and academically in small class settings. The dedicated staff work collaboratively to promote positive relationships, emotional growth, and individual development.As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker:
  • Work closely with students who require additional support in managing and understanding their emotions
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focused on emotional regulation and well-being
  • Support students throughout the school day, helping them engage positively with their learning
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Be a role model of consistency, patience, and compassion
The ideal Youth Mental Health Support Worker:

  • Calm, resilient, and empathetic in challenging situations
  • A team player with a positive, proactive approach
A background in psychology, criminology, sociology, sport, art, or music is advantageous, but not essential.
