Daily Rate: £90–£105/day | Contract: Full-time, term-time | Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced SEN Support Assistant to work with pupils who are deaf or hearing impaired, including those who use British Sign Language (BSL). This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with sensory needs and strong communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with hearing impairmentsUse BSL or other communication strategies to facilitate learning and engagementAssist pupils in accessing curriculum content and participating fully in classSupport social, emotional, and communication developmentWork closely with teachers, SEN staff, and specialist therapists to implement individual learning plansPromote inclusion and independence for all pupilsRequirements:Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL Level 2 or above preferred)Experience supporting pupils with hearing impairments in school, specialist provision, or care settingsEnhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, during school hoursDriving licence desirable for travel between sitesEmpathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skillsDesirable:Previous SEN or TA experienceBackground in teaching, care work, or related fieldsPsychology, education, or deaf/HI specialism * Full UK driving licenseWhat we offer:
