
Outreach Volunteer (Education Setting)

- Engaging with young people and young adults in a way that is meaningful & impactful in a short space of time
- Attend staff and volunteer meetings including development days and 1-1 supervisions, bringing a positive and can-do attitude.
- To work in a safe & risk informed way, ensuring personal safety as well as the safety of colleagues and young people/young adults is at the forefront of delivery.
- Commit to safeguarding young people & young adults, adhering to local policies (training provided).
- To work flexibly & holistically to meet the needs of the service
- To advocate and empower young people & young adults in making more informed choices & keeping safe
- Volunteers should expect to volunteer between 4 – 8 hours per month.
- Shifts at Derby College will typically take place mid-week, from 11am – 1pm on various days throughout the week.
- Shifts at University of Derby locations will typically take place mid-week, from 11am – 1pm and 5 – 7 pm on various days throughout the week.
- Interviews will take place in-person in Derby City on Tuesday 19th August 2025
- Training will take place in-person in Derby City on Tuesday 2nd September 2025
