- To maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors within the Hospital and grounds, and the protection of all Hospital assets
- To respond promptly to incidents and emergencies within the Hospital site
- To provide documentation, reports and liaise with outside agencies such as the Police
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all wards, departments, and outside agencies with which the Security Team comes into contact
- To collect evidence for the Police using Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 as required
- To represent the Hillingdon Hospital in Court, giving evidence in any cases that are involved with theft, violence or damage to Hospital property, staff, patients, or visitors
- To escort staff, cash and patients' property around the Hospital on a regular basis
- To regularly monitor the car parks and issue parking tickets to staff, patients, and visitors when necessary
- Issue keys to Hospital departments as necessary.
- To produce and issue ID/Access Cards, maintaining electronic database records
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience of working in the security sector
- Experience of working in the NHS security sector
- Is able to utilise CCTV, Fire and Safety systems to maintain the security and integrity of the Trust
