£30,000 - £35,000 DOE + packageClient:
Our client is a leading Building Contractor that specialise in Social Housing Maintenance contracts, delivering planned and responsive maintenance projects throughout Northern Ireland. The company have a great reputation for providing a fully committed and quality focused service.Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement of all materials
- Identifying potential suppliers and new products
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and agreements to secure the best possible pricing, quality and delivery schedules
- Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well-organised work schedule
- Generate purchase orders, track order status, and coordinate with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise
- Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials
- Background working in Procurement role
- At least 2 years' experience Buying
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Ideally have experience working in the construction industry
- ERP System experience is ideal
- Ability to manage data and reporting
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong communicator with the ability to work alongside other departments
