- Prepare plant monthly management accounts in accordance with company rules
- Execute month-end closing activities, focusing on operations and cost transactions
- Analyse the costs, prepare weekly and monthly variance reports on forecast differences and the causes for Labour, Overhead, Usage & Production Efficiencies
- Identify and track cost-saving opportunities across the business
- Advise management on plant financial performance through clear analysis and reporting
- Provide financial insights and training to non-financial stakeholders to support better decision-making
- Lead the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets in line with company strategy
- Support department heads with budget planning and expense tracking
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller and team to ensure accurate reporting of actual results, forecasts, and budgets
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit standards
- Assist in year-end audit preparation and serve as liaison to external auditors
- Maintain robust systems and controls over inventory and product costing
- Maintain accurate and reliable product costing process
- Conduct stock revaluations and manage the review of obsolete stock
- Promote continuous improvement within the finance function and across plant operations
- Contribute financial input into quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance
- Participate in MDI (Managing Daily Improvement) reporting and represent finance in managerial meetings when needed
- Adhere to Enersys’ standards, procedures, safety practices, and ethics policies
- Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
- Bachelor’s Degree ideally Accountancy & Finance related
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and cost accounting skills
- Excellent teamworking and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing environments
