This is a 12-month fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity. About the RoleOur team provide the analysis of complex statistical and business data to inform strategic business planning and for the development of specific service strategies. This includes developing effective and efficient systems and methods for the timely collection, processing and dissemination of statistics in accordance with legislative requirements and relevant statistical Codes of Practice.As a Data and Analytics Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of workforce data reporting, maintaining operational efficiency, and support innovation in analytics and reporting across the organisation.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include completing complex data queries, responding to freedom of information requests, supporting statutory reporting, and ensuring data compliance with regulations such as GDPR. You will collaborate with teams across the organisation to validate data, automate processes, and improve reporting tools and outputs.This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for data integrity and innovation.Shortlisting Criteria
  • Excellent IT skills including FME, SQL (Python Elements), Tableau, SAP or PowerBI
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers, adapting styles to different situations
  • High level administrative/organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a range of projects through to completion.
