Job Description:Credit & Risk Systems AnalystReports To: Credit & Risk ManagerDepartment: Finance - Credit & RiskDirect Reports: NoneLocation: EnderbyGrade: 3At Next we have a great opportunity for an analyst to join our growing Credit and Risk Analytics team within Finance. As a team, we are responsible for analysing all aspects of our £1.3B credit portfolio and using data to drive insight on how we can optimise our customer proposition and business profit. You'll be at the heart of understanding our 3 million credit customers; implementing and testing strategy changes to help grow our business.This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is excited to start or grow their career as an analyst, and has an interest in being part of implementing and understanding in-market change for our customers. We are looking for candidates with a numerical background, have confidence working with data in tools like Excel, and have the drive to learn quickly on the job. Experience with industry standard analytical tools (e.g. SQL, SAS) or Decision Engines (e.g. PowerCurve, Acquisition Manager) are a bonus - but we believe the right candidates can learn quickly with support from our talented team of analysts.If you're excited about being a part of real in-market change, our Systems Analyst role is a great place to develop your career within a growing business and well known brand!You will:
  • Implement strategy changes in decision engines working with internal and external teams to ensure they are working effectively.
  • Produce regular reporting and carry out ad hoc analyses. Comment on trends, adding value through contributing ideas and solutions to any problems or opportunities identified.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the current processes and rules through complex analysis, using multiple data sources.
  • Work with internal and external teams to deliver suitable portfolio strategies. This could be across contact centre, marketing, customer experience, and tech. Serving as the expert on credit risk and data, while best representing the commercial value and regulatory aspects of lending activity.
About you:
  • You will have a highly numerate/analytical background - ideally with experience in an analyst position
  • You will be a natural problem solver and enjoy working logically
  • You will have an eye for detail and the drive to understand how our complex business logic works, and how we can change it
  • You will have experience of working with Excel and ideally SQL/SAS or similar
  • You will enjoy working with a diverse multi-discipline team to deliver results at pace
  • You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, to ensure your key stakeholders are informed of what really matters
