- Provide strategic and operational HR guidance and support to the Practice Group across three UK locations. Your focus is to continually improve the performance of the Practice Group through its people, and ensure alignment with OC's business strategy.
- In partnership with business leaders, you will help shape the Practice Group's annual people plan, and support its successful implementation. You'll keep progress under review and measure impact in terms of business outcomes.
- Coach partners and managers in HR matters, to sustain a high performance / high engagement culture, and to manage change effectively.
- Work closely with the Operations Director and Finance Business Partner to make sure the Practice Group has the right skills and is the right size and shape to deliver against business targets. You'll keep this regularly under review and use insight to influence decision making about people, promotions and recruitment throughout the year.
- Oversee talent management, promotions and succession planning, focusing on preparing and retaining talent for future positions.
- Ensure diversity and inclusion is a central part of the Practice Group's people plan to support them to reach their D&I goals, and you'll challenge business leaders look at decisions through a D&I lens.
- Advise on employee relations matters, protecting the employee experience while demonstrating commercial pragmatism and managing risk to the business.
- Support Partners and managers to continually improve employee engagement and wellbeing within the Practice Group and ensure feedback is listened to and acted upon so that our culture remains a competitive advantage.
- Use data driven insights to drive the people agenda and influence decision making. You'll also use your extensive HR knowledge to bring an external perspective to our HR offering.
- Work with colleagues in People Development to ensure that both general and management capabilities are being developed.
- Take the lead on annual reward processes for the Practice Group, driving fairness, consistency, and work with colleagues in recruitment to ensure we attract the best talent from diverse talent pools.
- Work closely with other HRBPs, HR Advisors and managers within the HR team to deliver excellent and efficient service to Partners, managers and employees.
- Line manage an HR Advisor. You'll coach team members and build their capability. You'll act as an escalation point for HR Advisors and HR Assistants as necessary.
- Contribute to or lead projects within the Core HR team. You'll be responsible for successfully embedding central HR initiatives within your Practice Group.
- A driven and proactive individual with proven generalist HR or HRBP experience.
- Confident in engaging with a client group to help them drive their business forward with pragmatic, business focussed, commercial advice.
- Demonstrates a strong client service ethos. Forges strong professional working relationships and partnerships. Has strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with the confidence to interact with people at all levels, and can influence senior leaders. Manages expectations with internal clients while maintaining credibility and professionalism.
- Has strong technical skills and knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Comfortable and proactive in using insight and data to influence business leaders.
- Experience of effectively coaching and developing others.
