- Provide strategic advice on a wide range of contentious property matters
- Lead and manage high-value, complex litigation cases across multiple forums including the Court of Session, Sheriff Court, Lands Tribunal, and First-Tier Tribunal
- Build and nurture strong client relationships across commercial, public sector, rural, and private client portfolios
- Drive business development and contribute to the team’s growth strategy
- Work closely with colleagues across Real Estate, Rural, Private Client and Planning teams
- Mentor junior team members and provide leadership across key matters
- Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
- Electronic communications code disputes
- Title and missive disputes
- Boundary/access issues
- Dilapidations and lease-end claims
- Social and private housing litigation
- Land Court applications and Land Tribunal cases
- Judicial review support
- Professional negligence claims (property-related)
- Use of ADR including arbitration and mediation
- An experienced solicitor or legal director with a strong background in property litigation
- Commercially savvy, with excellent client-handling and advocacy skills
- Confident managing complex, high-value disputes and advising senior stakeholders
- Passionate about business development and growing client relationships
- Collaborative and supportive, with a strong track record in team leadership or mentoring
