Passionate Part-Time English Teacher Wanted – Join a High-Achieving Secondary School in Rochester!Are you a dedicated English teacher who thrives on delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons? A respected mixed secondary school in Rochester with high expectations and a supportive staff culture is looking for a part-time English Teacher to join their team from December 2025 to July 2026.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that values academic excellence, fosters strong relationships, and supports professional growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with full teaching responsibilities 3 days per week.The Role:
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Take full responsibility for planning, assessment, marking, and parent communication on working days
  • Contribute to a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support students of all abilities, including those with additional needs
  • Work closely with a supportive English department and wider staff team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Have proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident managing the classroom and building strong relationships with students
  • Be passionate about high standards, inclusive education, and continuous improvement
  • Be open to full teacher responsibilities on a part-time basis (3 days per week)
