
Head of Project Management - Hybrid

- Lead and evolve the project management function, aligning delivery practices with strategic goals.
- Maintain and adapt a project delivery framework that balances structure with flexibility.
- Drive effective time recording and a proactive scheduling of chargeable activity
- Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to the team
- Foster a collaborative and respectful team culture
- Conduct regular one-to-ones and annual performance reviews
- Leverage technology, automation, and practical AI to enhance visibility, efficiency and UX
- Define and track KPIs for delivery effectiveness, embedding continuous improvement across the team.
- Personally manage a portfolio of projects
- Proven success leading project delivery teams within a software, consultancy, or technology-focused
- Familiarity with a variety of delivery methodologies e.g., agile, waterfall
- Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and resource planning
- Experience of using project management tools e.g. Asana, MS Project experience in AI integration advantageous.
- Experience designing or optimising delivery frameworks
- Background in change management, transformation, or continuous improvement environment
- Experience managing a team, including performance management, mentoring and workload balancing with a passion for nurturing high-performing teams.
- Confident in dealing with clients at senior levels and managing challenging stakeholder dynamics, solution focussed and resilient.
- Commercial acumen, including understanding of budget control, margin, and contract obligations
- Calm, pragmatic and structured under pressure
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment with a hands-on approach
