As the Future Weapon Systems Programme Manager you will be leading on strategically important projects that make a tangible difference to the UKs National Security.Day-to-day, you will deliver effective management and delivery of the Programme including; developing and growing customer relationships, coordinating technical teams and delivery, leading bids, securing associated follow-on sales and successfully contributing to the overall strategy and business targets.The Mission Rehearsal team is a highly diverse, energetic and friendly team focussing on the safe delivery of leading edge capability. Your typical day might include Air-to-Air missile firings against representative targets, sinking a decommissioned frigate or supporting delivery of a NATO Missile Defence Exercise. Current programmes managed by the team include Exercise Formidable Shield; Atlantic Thunder; trials and Air-to-Air Missile Firings in Scotland.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain an onsite presence at the Air Ranges during any trials period to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery
  • Rigorous delivery for all T3E activity within this portfolio using established P3M skills and tools
  • Lead the development of complex bids for future capabilities
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationship
  • Inspire and develop a team of project professionals
  • Work with a team of highly experienced engineers to identify new capabilities that enhance QinetiQ's offering to our customer
Essential experience of the Programme Manager:
  • Previous demonstrable experience of delivering Programmes within complex domains with challenging safety considerations
Essential qualifications for the Programme Manager:
  • Chartered Project Professional Qualification or willingness to obtain the same with QinetiQ support

Hybrid working patterns are available.
