Full-time | High-risk environment | PPE requiredWe are currently recruiting for a Loading Operative to join a high-risk, quality-focused production environment at a major food manufacturing site in Worksop.This is a key role in the final stage of the food production process, ensuring product quality, safe loading, and efficient operation of loading bay activities. The Loading Operative must be highly safety-conscious and comfortable working at heights in a physically demanding setting.Working hours:
Days, nights, and afternoons - any 5 out of 7 days per week
Flexibility across all shifts is essentialMain duties include:
  • Ensuring the safe and correct loading of finished chocolate products into tankers for customer delivery
  • Unscrewing tanker tops, fitting filters, and ensuring no contamination during the loading process
  • Monitoring lorry loading activity via screens and guiding vehicles into correct positions
  • Receiving deliveries of cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, vegetable fat, and sugar
  • Maintaining sufficient stock of key ingredients for smooth production and dispatch
  • Accurately completing all loading documentation and quality records
  • Maintaining high standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Following a clean-as-you-go policy and performing all cleaning duties
  • Engaging in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and Food Safety procedures
  • Reporting maintenance, EHS, or food safety concerns in line with company protocols
  • Working at heights while wearing a safety harness - this is a physically demanding role
Requirements:
  • Comfortable working at heights using a safety harness
  • Previous experience in a food production or loading role preferred
  • Strong focus on safety, detail, and product quality
  • Physically fit and confident in a high-risk, fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills for stock tracking and monitoring systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
