This role is for a field based Sales / Account Manager who is relationship driven, as you'll offer a true partnership approach to your customers across the Midlands region. You'll offer product/range advice and even strategic sourcing for your smaller independent customers, whilst simultaneously managing the needs and demands of larger accounts such as Co-op, Nisa or Morrisons Daily.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key retail accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts and increase revenue within the sales department.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
  • Monitor account performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports and forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitors within the retail industry.

  • Proven experience in account management or a related sales role within any form of FMCG (food would be a bonus)
  • Experience and understanding of working with Convenience Retail customers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Our Client is a wholesaler, supplying both food and non-food products to all manner of retailers across the convenience/OOH channels aswel as a large number of independents. They have really managed to find a point of difference and unique service offering that has led to consistent YoY growth, and hence the need for an additional team member to pick up some of the workload in the Mids.
  • Salary circa £38,000 to £43,000 per annum.
